The headline addition for 2027 is the hybrid powertrain, producing 200 hp and achieving a 50 city / 44 highway MPG rating. Honda pairs that system with four selectable drive modes, giving buyers an option that was not part of the previous Civic Hatchback lineup. The Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid trims carry that system, while the Sport carries over with the 2.0L gas engine and CVT.

Google Built-In with Google Gemini arrives on the Sport Touring Hybrid, making it the first Civic Hatchback trim to offer in-car AI assistant capability alongside Google Maps and Google Play. The 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster is also new to the Sport Touring Hybrid, replacing the smaller display found on the Sport trim.
The Sport Touring Hybrid also gains wireless Apple CarPlay compatibility, stepping up from the wired CarPlay standard on the Sport trim. A 12-speaker Bose premium audio system and a wireless phone charger round out the Sport Touring Hybrid additions.
