We're ecstatic about the arrival of the 2026 Honda Passport in the Fort Worth metro. Let's review the impressive new and returning Honda Passport features for this model year.

2026 Honda Passport Performance & Specs

One thing that hasn't changed this year is the engine. Although it gets an additional five horsepower to bring the total up to 285 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, it is still the trusty 3.5-liter V-6.

What is brand new, however, is the 10-speed automatic transmission, replacing the 9-speeder from last year. This upgraded transmission funnels output to an enhanced all-wheel-drive system.

Then, we have the improved second generation of Honda's i-VTM4 torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive system. It works by intelligently distributing power between the wheels. Mileage has increased ever-so-slightly on the highway this year. The Passport keeps its 19 mpg in the city but achieves 25 mpg highway for 21 combined. The brand-new TrailSport trim level gets a little less with 18/23/20 mpg.

2026 Honda Passport Capability

All that power under the hood comes with serious capability for the Passport that will take your adventures to new heights. The highlight here is the Honda Passport's off-road capabilities, thanks to this year's stiffer chassis. An improved Off-Road Tuned Suspension available on off-road trims enhances performance when the pavement ends.

This year's model features a shorter front overhang to increase the approach angle to an impressive 23 degrees. It also boasts a higher ground clearance of 8.3 inches to clear obstacles in your path. When properly equipped, the Honda Passport towing capacity is 5000 pounds, making it perfect for hauling boats or camping gear for your next family getaway.

Seven versatile drive modes include Normal, ECON, Sport, Snow, Trail, Sand, and Tow. This is a significant upgrade from last year, which only offered Snow/Sand/Mud.

2026 Honda Passport Interior

When making a Honda SUV comparison, there's no denying that the Pilot is the biggest of Honda's SUVs. However, if we're talking about 5-seaters, the Passport is significantly bigger than the CR-V, giving you abundant space without the extra bulk of a third row. Compared to last year's model, it has more rear-seat and cargo room thanks to a longer wheelbase of 113.6 inches.

Let's look at the Honda Passport cargo space comparison. It offers an impressive 104.6 cubic feet of cargo room, enough to fit a full-size spare with the all-terrain tire. The Honda Passport vs Pilot size difference is apparent as the Pilot gets up to 112.4 cu ft of cargo volume. But still, it's not that far off.

You have multiple configurations available with the MOLLE Panel Set and 60/40 split rear seatback. You'll find all your favorite creature comforts like standard heated seats, Tri-Zone Climate Control, and an acoustic windshield. The panoramic moonroof is back, allowing natural light to flood the cabin.

2026 Honda Passport Exterior

This year's Passport has been completely redesigned with rugged styling that matches its adventurous spirit. It also adds an optional tailgate table with a 44-pound capacity neatly tucked away for easy access. This feature is perfect for outdoor gatherings or as a workstation while camping.

The color options are beautiful. You can go for shiny metallics like Ash Green Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, and Radiant Red Metallic. More shimmering options include Crystal Black Pearl, Obsidian Blue Pearl, Platinum White Pearl, and Sonic Gray Pearl. The most unique color this year is the brand-new Sunset Orange. It is a premium color, so it comes at an extra charge, but it is simply beautiful.

The exterior also has features that make it off-road ready. That includes skid plate recovery hooks and a heavy-duty trailer hitch. The full roof platform holds up to 165 lbs, while roof rails with crossbars support up to 209 lbs of cargo. The 18-inch wheels come with valve stems recessed into the wheel for added protection.

2026 Honda Passport Technology

A modern SUV needs modern technology, and the Honda Passport 2026 finally catches up with the times. All trims now come with a standard 12.3-inch touchscreen, up from 8 inches last year. Plus, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are on board standard, whereas last year's wasn't wireless.

Functionality is enhanced further with the addition of Google Play services, Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Alexa. The sound system gets an upgrade with a Bose sound system with 12 studio-quality speakers and a powerful subwoofer.

The standard 10.2-inch instrument panel provides clear, customizable information. For instance, Trail Info comes standard on all Passport models to help with navigation in unknown terrain. The 5G-LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot is back to keep everyone connected, even in remote locations. Off-roading tech features like TrailWatch are available, providing camera views of the trail ahead.

2026 Honda Passport Trim Levels

When you buy a 2026 Burleson Honda Passport, the first choice you have to make is which trim level to get.

One thing to note about this new lineup of Passport trims is that they each have a Blackout variant. As the name suggests, opting for this edition will give you blacked-out accents, mainly on the exterior, such as black lug nuts and black Honda badges.

With that being said, here are all the available trim levels for this 2026 Honda model lineup:

RTL

This trim level is last year's equivalent to the EX-L. It's a base trim that comes with so much more than you expect. For starters, it has an automatic-dimming rearview mirror that can connect to your garage. The interior is already luxurious, with leather and cloth seats, heated front seats, and a 10-way power seat with memory and lumbar support for the driver.

Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control make off-roading safer. Tech includes a 9-speaker sound system with a subwoofer connected to the 12.3-inch touchscreen and wireless phone charger.

Safety comes standard with Honda Sensing Driver-Assistive Features with a Collision Mitigation Braking System and Road Departure Mitigation System. There's also the RTL Towing edition, which adds a Class III Trailer Hitch for towing.

TrailSport

As a brand-new trim level, we're excited to finally do a Honda Passport TrailSport review. This has everything you could want for an adventure SUV, starting with an Off-Road Tuned Suspension and Underbody Skid Plate.

Even small details like the Rear Camera Washer, Side Mirror Turn Indicator, and Heated Windshield make a big difference in real-world driving situations. The Amber Daytime Running Lights (DRL) and LED Fog Lights give the TrailSport a distinctive appearance. These match the Amber interior ambient lighting.

Inside, the seats are upgraded to durable Leatherette and Cloth Seats with TrailSport Orange Stitching. You get protection with TrailSport All-Season Floor Mats. The addition of 115-Volt Power Outlets in the 2nd-row and Rear Cargo area is a nice touch.

TrailSport Elite

The Honda Passport Elite is another brand-new trim level for this year. It brings ultimate luxury with off-road capability. The highlights here are the Perforated Leather with Contrast Stitching and Black Piping. They get Ventilated Front Seats and Rear Outboard Heated Seats.

You'll enjoy the Bose Premium Sound System with 12 Speakers, including a Subwoofer. The Multi-View Camera System adds a Front Camera Washer. You also get TrailWatch here.

Acoustic Front Side Glass and Puddle Lights enhance the premium feel. Plus, the Power Lift Tailgate with Hands-Free Access and Walk Away Close adds convenience when your hands are full.
