The New 2023 Honda Ridgeline

Honda has done it again, unveiling the new and improved 2023 Honda Ridgeline. As their only truck offering, the Ridgeline takes center stage for Honda as an excellent option for drivers looking for more than just a car. Fusing ruggedness with modern sophistication, the Ridgeline packs quite a punch in its size and offers great features at every trim level.

This vehicle is a unibody construction, meaning it marries the frame and body to create an exceptionally stylish foundation. And while it may not have the same off-roading capabilities as some of its competitors, the Ridgeline is ideal for America's concrete jungles and highways.

Before heading down to Burleson Honda to check it out, here's a quick look at the 2023 Honda Ridgeline and what you can expect from each trim

2023 Honda Ridgeline Colors

First things first, let's talk about colors! Honda is known for their impressive exterior styling and vibrant paint job options, and the 2023 Honda Ridgeline is no exception. In total, there are eight color options available:

  • Platinum White Pearl
  • Lunar Silver Metallic
  • Crystal Black Pearl
  • Modern Steel Metallic
  • Obsidian Blue Pearl
  • Radiant Red Metallic II
  • Pacific Pewter Metallic
  • Sonic Gray Pearl

Choosing one of these colors gives the Ridgeline an edgy and sleek look, perfect for those who want to stand out on the roads.

2023 Honda Ridgeline Hybrid Specs

Early last year, rumors floated around that Honda was considering a hybrid Ridgeline, and pickup truck fans gladfully accepted the rumors. Honda makes excellent hybrid vehicles, such as the Honda Accord Hybrid and CR-V Hybrid. These vehicles are highly sought after for their agility and fuel efficiency, so it is no surprise that consumers requested a hybrid option for the Ridgeline.

Unfortunately, we'll have to wait a bit longer before the Ridgeline goes hybrid. The 2023 model does not offer a hybrid version, but we can expect one to follow soon. It would be appreciated, too, as one of Ridgeline's main drawbacks is its fuel economy.

The all-wheel drive option will get you 18 mpg in the city and 2r mpg on the highway, which is slightly lower than competitors.

2023 Honda Ridgeline Interior

What the Ridgeline lacks in mileage, it more than makes up for in terms of interior features and design. The five-seater interior of the 2023 Honda Ridgeline is incredibly roomy and comfortable, with state-of-the-art amenities and plenty of storage compartments.

Comfort is also a key factor in the design, and Honda has included features like heated leather seats, a 60/40 split rear seat, and plenty of legroom. You'll also be able to control settings and music with the intuitive touchscreen display.

2023 Honda Ridgeline Trim Levels

Now let's look at the six trim levels available for the 2023 Honda Ridgeline. Each one varies in terms of features and capabilities, so depending on your needs, you should have no problem finding something that suits you.

Sport

Let's start with the base model, the 2023 Honda Ridgeline Sport. The Sport trim offers a powerful standard 3.5L V6 engine with up to 280 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. A cool feature of the Sport is its electronically-controlled all-wheel drive system, which can sense when more traction is needed and automatically distribute power to each wheel for improved grip.

You'll also benefit from a remote engine starter system, which lets you start your car from up to 400 feet away. The sport trim also comes with plenty of automation. From idle stop/start technology to automatic LED headlights, this trim will make your commute easier and more enjoyable.

Although the seats are manual, they are incredibly comfortable and supportive, so you won't be disappointed. You will, however, benefit from automatic windows, door locks, and a hands-free phone system.

Standout features:

  • In-bed trunk with drain plug: Host a backyard barbecue or take a fishing trip with ease, as the 2023 Honda Ridgeline Sport has an in-bed trunk and drain plug.
  • 8-inch touchscreen display: Enjoy a clear and crisp view of your maps, media, and settings with the 8-inch touchscreen display.

RTL

Next up is the RTL trim. This trim level offers many of the same basic features as the Sport. For example, Honda's Sense Safety Suite is standard on the RTL trim, so you can drive with peace of mind knowing that your vehicle is equipped with the latest driver assistance technologies. Lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, and blind spot monitoring are some features you'll have access to.

The RTL also has an 8-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility. But what really sets the RTL apart is the addition of power seats. The driver gets a 10-way power adjustable seat, and the passengers get a 4-way power adjustable seat. This is a feature you'll definitely appreciate on those long trips.

Standout features:

  • Leather seats: Upgrade to this luxurious option for extra comfort and style.
  • Leather steering wheel: Feel the leather quality in your hands as you cruise down the open road.
  • Auto-dimming rearview mirror: The rearview mirror automatically adjusts to reduce glare from headlights behind you.

RTL-E

One step above the RTL is the RTL-E trim. This trim comes with several additional features, including a heated steering wheel and parking sensors. Courtesy lights on the front doors give this trim a high-end look and feel.

The RTL-E also comes with an upgraded audio system and an integrated navigation system. The Honda navigation system gives you turn-by-turn directions to your destination. You'll also enjoy the charging pad, perfect for keeping your phone powered up on those long trips.

Standout features:

  • 8-speaker premium audio system: Enjoy crisp and clear sound with this upgraded audio system.
  • An audio system in the bed: Six exciters are strategically mounted in the Ridgeline's truck bed liner, creating a unique ambient audio experience.
  • Power outlet in the bed: Charge up your tools or electronics in the back of your truck with this convenient power outlet.

Black Edition

Last but not least is the Black Edition. This trim offers all of the features of the RTL-E, plus some exclusive extras. The black exterior accents and wheels give this vehicle a modern, sophisticated look that sets it apart from the competition. 18-inch black alloy wheels and a black-finish grille add to the vehicle's sleek aesthetic.

Inside, the black leather seats and center console give the Black Edition an even more luxurious feel. You'll also appreciate the red ambient lighting that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. This red contrast extends to the stitching, cup holders, and door panels, giving the vehicle a unique look.

Standout features:

  • 18-inch black alloy wheels: These sleek and stylish wheels give the Black Edition a sporty look that sets it apart.
  • Black leather seats: Experience a level of luxury rarely seen in trucks with these black leather seats.
