The 2025 Civic offers two different powertrains. They're vastly different but power the same trusty Civic you know and love.
First, Honda replaced last year's turbocharged 1.5-liter with a robust 2.0-liter DOHC VTC engine paired with a continuously variable transmission. This delivers 150-horsepower and 133 lb-ft of torque. It saves fuel with smart technology like idle-stop which turns off the engine when you're stopped.
The hybrid version steps things up with a 200-horsepower powertrain featuring Honda's Two-Motor Hybrid System and High-Torque Traction Motor. Both versions come with MacPherson strut front suspension and multi-link rear for a smooth ride and tight turns.

The most impressive part of the 2025 Honda Civic Sedan is its fuel efficiency. The gas-powered LX achieves 32 mpg in the city, 41 mpg on the highway, and 36 combined mpg. The Sport sacrifices one mpg in the city and two on the highway for more power. It still beats many competitors.
