2026 Honda HR-V

Modern Style, Everyday Versatility

The HR-V has lived in the CR-V's shadow for too long - but that's about to change in a big way. Honda says the HR-V has become the most popular SUV for first-time buyers and Gen-Z drivers. As such, the company is giving this compact crossover the attention it truly deserves.

The 2026 Honda HR-V has arrived with exciting upgrades that make this model year special. Our dealership near Joshua has the new HR-V in stock right now.

Honda HR-V Performance & Specs

Let's start with the specs that make this SUV go - because that's what really matters when you're behind the wheel. The 2026 HR-V runs on a 2.0-liter engine that delivers 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. This engine gives you smooth acceleration whether you're merging onto the highway or navigating busy streets in Burleson.

Every HR-V offers Real Time All-Wheel Drive (AWD) with Intelligent Control if you want more control on the road. The fully independent rear suspension makes every ride comfortable. Your passengers in the back will appreciate how smoothly the HR-V handles bumps and rough patches.

Hill Descent Control takes the stress out of steep declines, automatically managing your speed when you're heading downhill. You also get three driving modes to match your mood and the conditions. Normal mode works great for everyday driving. Eco mode helps you save fuel on longer trips. Snow mode gives you extra confidence when winter weather hits North Texas. (Yes, it happens!)

Honda HR-V Interior

The interior gets a refresh for this model year with a new design that keeps things sporty and clean. You'll notice it as soon as you open the door - the dashboard features eye-catching honeycomb detailing that adds personality to the cabin. Privacy rear glass now comes standard on all trims.

Another new feature is the dynamic climate control knob lighting. The knob glows red when you turn up the heat, blue when you want cold air, and white when you're somewhere in between. Returning for this year is the 60/40 split, which gives you flexibility for cargo and passengers. With the seats up, you have 24.4 cubic feet of cargo space. Fold them down and you unlock an impressive 55.1 cubic feet of space.
The one-touch power moonroof is back as well, and there are comfort features like dual-zone automatic climate control. The heated front seats warm up quickly, and their body-stabilizing construction provides excellent support.

Honda HR-V Exterior

The exterior receives minor cosmetic updates this year that make a noticeable difference in how the HR-V looks on the road. Most updates focus on the exterior paint colors. In fact, there are two new options: Solar Reflection Metallic and Boost Blue Pearl, the latter exclusive to the Sport model. You have eight exterior color choices total, so finding your favorite won't be hard.

The slender LED headlights give the HR-V a sophisticated appearance. Available 18-inch alloy wheels give the HR-V an athletic stance that matches its sporty personality. Honda uses a laser brazing technique to merge the side panels and roof without visible lines. The honeycomb grille returns with the Honda logo positioned right above it.
At the back, you'll find a slim spoiler and LED brake lights that create a sporty profile. The smart wipers dispense windshield washer fluid through the wiper arms instead of spraying it everywhere.

Honda HR-V Technology and Safety

The 2026 Honda HR-V gets major tech upgrades, including a standard wireless charging pad and wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. A larger 9-inch touchscreen with a faster processor ensures smooth, lag-free use, while the available eight-speaker sound system enhances your drive.

Returning features include a 7-inch digital instrument display (TFT Meter), allowing you to customize what information appears directly in front of you. The HondaLink® app also makes a return, giving you the ability to remotely start the engine, lock or unlock the doors, and even check vehicle status-right from your smartphone.
When it comes to safety, the HR-V reflects Honda's commitment to its "Safety for Everyone" philosophy. Every model comes standard with the Honda Sensing® suite of advanced driver-assistance features, so you don't have to pay extra for peace of mind. The Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure enhances occupant protection in a crash, while next-generation front airbags adjust deployment based on crash severity and passenger position. It's smart safety, built right in.
2026 Honda HR-V Trim Levels

Choosing the right trim level makes all the difference when you're shopping for a new vehicle. Whether you're commuting from Cleburne to Arlington or exploring Texas backroads, there's a 2026 HR-V trim that fits your needs.

LX

The LX represents the entry-level trim for this model. Even though it's the base model, you get all the new tech features for this year. That means you can access the wireless charging pad, as well as the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You even get the large nine-inch touchscreen and the seven-inch TFT Meter that usually cost extra with other brands.

Other features include Push Button Start, Cruise Control, and 60/40 Split Second-Row Seat. New for this year are Pewter Gray 17-inch alloy wheels that give the LX a sharp, modern look. You also get the Smart Windshield Wipers System, LED lights all around, and Power Side Mirrors.

The Rear Privacy Glass and Acoustic Glass Windshield round out the package. Your cabin stays quiet and private — two things every driver appreciates.

Sport

The Sport has become somewhat of an icon in Honda lineups, and the HR-V Sport continues that tradition with style. New Berlina Black 18-inch alloy wheels make a statement. These redesigned wheels match perfectly with the gloss-black grille, matte-black bumper, and exclusive badging. You also get new gloss-black tailgate badging and a chrome exhaust finisher.

Inside, the all-black interior features striking orange stitching and a metallic honeycomb instrument panel. The Leather-Wrapped Steering Wheel and Shift Knob feel great in your hands. The Sport adds Heated Front Seats to keep you comfortable year-round. The sound system upgrades from four speakers to six speakers for better audio quality.

Safety features are expanded with the Blind Spot Information System (BSI) and Cross Traffic Monitor.

EX-L

The EX-L is the luxury model and gets exciting new additions for this model year that make it feel truly premium. Silver steering wheel spokes catch the light beautifully. Front footwell lighting creates ambiance at night, and the dynamic climate control knob lighting adds that special touch we mentioned earlier.

New for this year are larger machine-finished 18-inch wheels. They gain one inch compared to last year and really fill out the wheel wells nicely. Returning features make the extra investment worthwhile. Sophisticated leather details throughout the cabin create an upscale environment.

This trim level includes the Moonroof, Automatic-Dimming Rearview Mirror, and dual-zone climate control. Safety additions include Low-Speed Braking Control and parking sensors.
